Noteflight is a web-based music notation platform that allows users to create, play back, and share sheet music entirely online. It works directly inside your web browser across desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.

Click on any empty measure to reveal a thin, blinking vertical cursor line. You can input notes using three main methods:

Computer Keyboard: Type the letter names (A through G) on your keyboard to instantly write pitches.

Note Duration: Press the Left Bracket [ key to decrease note length and the Right Bracket ] key to increase it.
Adjust Pitch: Use the Up and Down Arrow keys to move a selected note up or down by a semitone.
Rests: Select a note and press Delete or Backspace to turn it into a rest.
Repeat: Press R to instantly duplicate selected notes, patterns, or entire measures.
Lyrics: Select a note and press Ctrl + L (Windows) or Cmd + L (Mac) to open the lyric text box. Using Palettes and Expressive Tools
The menu bar on the left side of the screen houses all formatting panels, called Palettes.
Click the Menu button to view all available palettes, including Pitch, Duration, Tempo, Dynamics, and Articulation.
Hover over any tool inside a palette to view its function and assigned keyboard shortcut.
